Austin Taylor Bice vanished on Friday February 25. Meanwhile another man is missing in Vizcaya.

Neighbours, families and friends have been helping in the searches over the weekend for two people reported missing in Spain.

José Tomás Núñez from Arrigorriaga, Vizcaya, and the United States citizen, Austin Taylor Bice, who has vanished from his home in Madrid.

Núñez has been missing since last Sunday morning when he left his home to buy the paper and bread, but he never arrived at the bakery. He suffers from schizophrenia and left home without the medicines which control his condition and without money or his mobile phone.

Austin Taylor Bice, who is nearly two metres tall and weighs 100 kilos, is an exchange student at the Carlos III University in Madrid and went missing on Friday February 25 after seen walking home from the La Riviera discotheque after he was refused entry by the doormen for being drunk. His classmates took part in a search of campus grounds on Saturday close to where he was last seen. They have also been putting up photos across Madrid.

The search is being coordinated by Juan Gabriel Paredes, who is married to a cousin of the missing man. He says that Austin has not used his phone or any credit cards since his disappearance, and his father has commented that his son has ‘never been problematic or taken any type of drug’.
